One Loss, and Another on the Horizon
Hoping to process his grief while balancing his professional obligations, Washington lawyer Patrick Preston found a solution: short-term grief counseling through his employer’s Employee Assistance Program. This support during his time of great personal need meant that Patrick had overcome a hesitancy common to many legal professionals, the reluctance to seek help. The insights he gained from the losses of two beloved family members led him to take a leave of absence and a memorable journey to the Tree of Life on the Washington coast.
